Tokyo Disney Day 3
Tokyo Disney Day 3
We had our alarm set for about 7 today, the deal we got with the hotel included breakfast so we went down for the buffet, it had the usual things cereal, eggs, bacon (type stuff) sausage, cold meats, salad, rice, fish, burger patties, chicken curry lol I did try the chicken curry it was actually quite nice.
After breakfast we walked to the monorail station and boarded for our first day at Tokyo DisneySea,

We actually got our timings wrong lol we thought the park opened at 9 but it had actually opened at 8, oh well at least we didn’t have to queue to get in lol.
The plan was to make sure we rode attractions that they didn’t have at WDW so first we headed to Journey to the Center of the Earth and got a fast pass. Then we rode 20000 Leagues Under the Sea which was next to it and only had a 5 min wait, this was really good especially making you feel like you had gone underwater.

Next we walked round to the Mermaid Lagoon which was really colourful, went to see King Tritons Concert, which was an amazing show, yes it was in Japanese but you could kind of follow the story, it was kind of themed that you were under the sea and Ariel was swimming above you. Wherever you sat you got a great view and best of all they had padded comfy seats lol.
They are very strict about taking photos or video on or in any of the attractions but here’s the promo video on you tube if you want to see what the show is like:

Next up was our fast pass for Journey to the Center of the Earth, this was another great ride sort of combining Test Track, Splash Mountain and Dinosaur all into one.

Photo’s from the rest of the day:

We left mid afternoon to have a quick look in Ikspiari which is kind of a cross between Downtown Disney and a high end shopping mall and also to check out Maihama train station as we needed to get a train into Tokyo for our tour tomorrow.

We popped back to the hotel for a bit to freshen up and so Kerrie could have a quick nap and then got ready to head back to DisneySea.
We didn’t need to get one as for the Hilton they literally take you across the road but we did love the resort cruisers they are hidden Mickey mad lol

DisneySea looked amazing on the night, although I still probably prefer Magic Kingdom style parks as a place to be I can’t deny that DisneySea is probably the best themed and visually amazing park we’ve been in.

We finished DisneySea by watching Fantasmic, again the way the Japanese watch these shows and parades is great, we walked up maybe 15 mins before the show and must have been about 30 rows back and everyone was sat down and stayed sat down. Fantasmic was amazing and different to Hollywood Studios.

Another You Tube video if you want to see the show:

After Fantasmic we just caught the Halloween fireworks that are shown between both parks, they were a bit meh and one thing that is done a hundred times better in WDW but I suppose here they are in a built up area and we should feel lucky we saw them as the slightest breeze and they are cancelled lol
After the fireworks we were approached by a young Japanese couple who spoke as much English as we spoke Japanese lol It turns out with the help of google translate on his phone that they wanted to give us their fast passes for Hotel Hightower (Tower of Terror) as they were leaving, how nice of them
We went round to ride, Kerrie came through the queue are with me but chickened out at the last minute even though she has ridden Tower of Terror and didn’t find it that bad, so I told her off for wasting the nice peoples fast pass lol.
The ride was good but slightly different to Florida as the Twilight Zone isn’t really known over there, hence the Hightower Hotel storyline.
By now we were ready for bed so headed back to the Hilton on the monorail, we grabbed some sandwiches and drinks from the hotel shop as we’d not really eaten anything all day and then hit the massive comfy bed ready for our tour tomorrow. Oh and it’s our 12th wedding Anniversary

It was a bit overcast at points during some days but most of the time it was sunny and warm, probably around 20-22 degrees but a bit cooler on the nights, almost perfect theme park weather lol

That park looks amazing. I wonder if they`ll ever build anything like it in Orlando.
Another amazing day... really looking forward to the next episode.
